2009 Post Show Highlights
The Peace Regional Air Show Association is extremely pleased to have hosted a very successful show in 2009, celebrating 100 years of powered flight in Canada. Over 6000 spectators were in attendance and by all accounts to the committee, were greatly entertained. This attendance sets a record for a one day air show in Peace River.
Northern Alberta is rich in aviation history, as depicted in the souvenir program that we published. Some programs are still available for sale at a cost of $5.00 per copy plus shipping. As well a DVD of the 2009 show is nearing readiness for publication, and can be ordered on this web site.
The Peace Regional Air Show Committee is currenly securing a date for the 2012 show. Stay tuned to our web site for details as the date draws near. Peace River is located 500 km northwest of Edmonton on Hwy 2, with the air show being held at the Peace Regional Airport, located on highway #2 West of Peace River. Please plan to attend our next event!
